Q. How long will it take for you to develop a custom product formulation for my company?
A. Each formulation is different, but typically it will take approximately four weeks for our laboratory staff to develop a formulation. Once we know more about what you are looking for, we will be able to give you a better estimate.
Q. Will you help me with regulatory issues?
A. Yes. We have many years of experience dealing with regulatory agencies and would be glad to assist you.
Q. If I already have a formula, will you mix or batch it for me?
A. Yes. We call that tolling and are happy to talk to you about that service we provide.
Q. Do you sell a standard product?
A. We produce a number of standard products in the flooring and industrial markets, however most of our compounds and formulations are custom designed to the specific needs of each customer’s application and product needs. Q. What is your manufacturing lead time?
A. Our standard lead time is two weeks, but we pride ourselves on customer responsiveness and have the ability to improve under certain circumstances.
Q. Can you supply me in bulk? Do you have minimum or maximum order sizes?
A. We do large volume, bulk manufacturing. We have tanks, mixers, and reactors from a few gallons up to over 10,000 gallons and can ship drums, totes or even tanker loads, so we can handle almost any size order. Also, we have our own bulk tankers and over-the-road trucks to provide the product to our customer with the quality, service, and speed our customers have grown to expect.
Q. How is the product shipped?
A. Some locations have their own fleet of trucks, tankers and trailers. We will work with you to ship product in the most economical way possible.
Q. Can you modify or customize your formulations to meet my exact finished product specifications and manufacturing process requirements?
A. Yes. As a custom compounder and formulator, that is exactly what we do. We do this by working closely with our customers.
Q. Does MarChem have only one facility?
A. No. MarChem currently has four locations, strategically located throughout the United States. Visit our locations page to find out more about where they are at.
Q. Tell me about your technical staff and R&D capabilities and how do I get access to them?

A. We have over 200,000 square feet of production space available to us.
